What is the Modelo 790?

The Tasa 790 (Code 012) is the administrative tax for CUE registration. Complete it online, print it, and pay at a bank.

If you don't have a NIE yet, leave the field empty or write "PENDING".

  1. Complete the Modelo 790 online (Code 012)
  2. Print two copies of the form
  3. Pay the fee at a bank (approx. €15.76 — verify on official site)
  4. Keep the bank-stamped copy as proof of payment

Padrón Registration Guide

What is the Padrón?

The Padrón (Empadronamiento) is the municipal census. It proves your address in Spain and is required for the CUE and most administrative procedures.

How to register

  1. Visit your local Ayuntamiento (town hall)
  2. Bring passport, rental contract, and landlord authorization (if renting)
  3. Fill in the application form at the office
  4. Receive your certificate immediately or within a few days
