Family Healthcare Registration

Managed Service

Family Healthcare Registration

Once you are registered with Spanish Social Security, your eligible family members — spouse or partner, and dependent children — can be added as beneficiaries, granting them access to Spain's public healthcare system. We coordinate the full registration process on your behalf.

Spouses, partners & dependent children — full public healthcare access

What we handle

Eligibility Check

We confirm which family members qualify as beneficiaries based on your Social Security status, their relationship to you, and their current residency situation.

Document Coordination

We tell you exactly which documents are needed — NIE, passports, family book, or civil certificates — and guide you through obtaining them.

INSS Registration

We prepare and submit the beneficiary registration application with the Instituto Nacional de la Seguridad Social (INSS) on your behalf.

Health Card Support

Once registered, we guide your family members through obtaining their Tarjeta Sanitaria Individual (TSI) from their local health centre.

How it works

1

Share your details

Tell us about your Social Security status and which family members you want to register. We use this to confirm eligibility before proceeding.

2

Document checklist sent

Our advisor sends you a personalised list of documents needed — tailored to each family member's nationality and relationship.

3

Application filed with INSS

We submit the beneficiary registration to the INSS. Processing times vary but typically take 1–4 weeks.

4

Health card obtained

Once approved, each family member collects their Tarjeta Sanitaria at their assigned local health centre (centro de salud).

Please note: Beneficiary registration requires the primary holder to be actively registered with Spanish Social Security (NUSS). Eligibility for spouses, partners, and children depends on their individual circumstances and Spanish Social Security rules. This service is coordinated by Enter Spain and executed by independent advisors. It does not constitute legal advice.
