Questions

Common questions

How does EnterSpain work?

You tell us your nationality, your destination in Spain and why you are moving. We build a roadmap of the steps that apply to you, in the order they need to happen, with a guide for each one. You do the steps yourself or hand individual ones to a specialist.

Can I start free and upgrade later?

Yes. Building your roadmap and following the guides is free. You only pay when you ask a specialist to take a task on, and you choose those task by task.

What is an NIE and why do I need one?

The NIE is your Spanish foreigner identification number. Almost everything else depends on it: opening a bank account, signing a rental contract, registering for work and dealing with the tax office. It is one of the first steps on most roadmaps.

How long does the paperwork take?

It depends on your route and the region you move to, since appointment waiting times vary by office. Your roadmap shows the expected order and what has to be finished before the next step can start, so you can see where the waiting happens.

Can you help me find housing in Spain?

Housing is one of the six service categories. You can use the guides to search on your own, or bring in a partner for viewings, contract checks and the registration that follows once you have an address.
